Our Mission

When I was in college, I watched my mom and grandmother running all over San Antonio searching for Fiesta medals—going in and out of stores, checking different websites, and constantly pulling up maps. It always felt like there should be an easier way to do it.

I originally tried building a mobile app to solve that problem, but fresh out of college and starting my career, I had to put the idea on hold. Eventually, I shelved it altogether. But even while working on other projects and building websites in my spare time, this idea never really left me. It was always something I wanted to come back to—and now, here we are.

My name is Sean Carrillo. I’m a software engineer by day and a web developer by night. I currently live in Seattle, but I was born and raised in San Antonio and still have all my family there. Fiesta has always been something special to me, and I’ve always admired how the city holds on to its traditions and culture.

I built San Antonio Medal Finder to make discovering Fiesta medals easier while supporting the local businesses and organizations that create them. My goal is to help make the experience more connected, more accessible, and a lot more enjoyable for everyone involved.
